Yes free online play no hidden charges. Theres two different PS3 model the one that cost $599.99 has Wi-Fi. The other one you need to add it for a small fee.

Always has been...always will be. But there may be certain exceptions. For example, some downloadable content (such as games and special add-ons for games you already own) may have a small fee attached. But, in the overall sence, it will be free to play with others online.
