wcbaseball - its NOT just about the numbers, this no chemistry for one thing & to me he's too much EGO & it has had a negative effect on the rest of the players.
get your head out of the nos. once in a while so YOU can get a clue.

Yeah, but I mostly think he needs to get out of New York. He can't take it there.

Yeah a 20 million dollar dud that hit .290 with 35 HR's and 121 RBI's...oh yeah and a .392 OBP.

Oh yeah and then last year he produced an MVP season hitting .321 with 48 HR 130 RBI and a .421 OBP.

And his first year he hit .286 with 36 HR 106 RBI's and an OBP of .375

Yeah thats a dud...moron.

A career .305 hitter with 464 HR and 1347 RBI w/ a .386 OBP. And he's only 31...

Hands down the best all around baseball player in the game right now, he will break whatever the HR record whether Bonds breaks it or not, he was the fast player to 450 HR, oh not to mention he also has 241 stolen bases. Get a freaking clue...you obviously have no ability to judge the game or players...

No I don't agree.
He's one of the best players in baseball today.
Any other player sporting the stats A-Rod put up this year would be said to have had a great year.
It's only because of the media trash-talikng and the booing fans that he's continued to struggle. He's only human and these things get to him.
He needs to get out of his head and into the game again.
Then he'll be fine.
Next year he'll be better for sure.
GO A-ROD ! ! ! !

i believe his multi-million dollar price has put an over-bearing burden on him to perform at higher standards. he is a great athlete and competitive player, he just needs to be on a team where the only pressure he is under is to show up and play. he is expected to be the hero cause of the money, but he is only human and needs to be relaxed during the game.

As a Red Sox fan, Jeter makes me more nervous. He is more clutch. Hope they all have a slump in 2007.

I don't agree. I think every player no matter how good they are has a bad season once in a while.

Yeah, he has not lived up to all that money for the Yankees. He might have been worth the money for the Rangers, but he is not as good with the Yankees.
