Hi there,

The best security solution you could possibly get at the moment is a program called Prevx1.

This is an all-in-one solution that protects against all forms of malware or intrusion (virii, spyware, adware, trojans, rootkits, hackers, etc), and has recently proven to have the strongest protection and cleanup capabilities of all security solutions available today.

One of the main reasons for this is because they see all infections and viruses faster than anyone else and protect their userbase against new threats instantly - with no need for downloadable updates. This means there is no delay between an infection being found and you being protected - this is now instantaneous.

I would recommend you read more about Prevx1 on their website (especially the "How does Prevx1 Work" section on their homepage) and try out their Free Trial. You won't regret it.

The best good, free and recommended security programs are all here. just click on any name in that list and you will be taken to the downloading page

None of them comes in a package but, from my experience, packages are resource hogs and slow down your computer, whereas the ones on that list don't.

My recommendations - AVG anti virus, Zone Alarm firewall, AVG anti-spyware (formerly Ewido) and Spyware Blaster.

I am using eTrust's 12 month free AV at present, which is excellent.

Previously I was a Norton user for 6 years but have noticed the difference in my computer speed-wise since I stopped using their package.

Any security package is only as good as the person who uses them and ensures they are kept updated.

I would have to say ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite. I've used ZoneAlarm products for years and had no problems. I've used ZASS for almost a year now and had no problem yet. They have 15-day trial versions to see how it works for your PC.

To be honest, one is just not enough anymore. Some people have quite a few firewalls and still get hacked....The more the marrier!
