It was not christian against christian .
If you recall thee majority of Europe was ruled by Kings and Queens who were related to each other and daughters were used to strengthen ties. Next came the play for power among
this big family. The blood ties finally ended with the death of Lord Mountbatten on 27th August, 1979. He was the last one to have blood ties throughout Europe.
Sooo I call this Family Battles. Which lasted until WWI

As long as I know Christian World fighting each other because of
Christian separation between Catholic and Protestan or Anglican (In UK).
But other cause is fighting between bishop or leader church from Italian and leader church from other European country (especially France).
but I don't know what it called!
