what size should i start at to by clothes i put some stuff on layby and started at 0000 but is that right

You shouldn't get to many 0000 things in case you have a big baby, My sister in law had a nearly 8lb baby and she couldn't wear many 0000 things only a hand full, mainly 000 because they will last until about 3 months. It all depends on the size of your baby but try not to go overboard on new small clothes as they grow out of them very quickly, if you have anyone that can lend you small clothes its much easier as they are basically new clothes anyway maybe worn 3-4 times. 000 is the best size to buy but also don't buy heaps. I found that after the baby was born maybe buy an outfit a week or fortnight was enough to keep them going as you can see how much your baby has grown and you will get use out of the clothes. We bought 0-3 months, newborns only goes up to 8 lbs and they say our baby should be a little bigger than 8 lbs, so we just went for the 0-3 months close.

buy basics like a pack of onsies, sox, and about 5 sleepers in 0-3 months then go up in sz. i have big babys so they only wear 0-3 in the first week or so. also consider the time of year. if you plan on breast or bottle as most breast fed babys tend to be bigger. also only buy a small apck of sz 1 diapers(8-14lbs) as the hospital usually gives you newborn diapers and they are only good for the cut out notch for the umbilical cord to dry out.

yes. i didnt buy any 00000, but my baby was born at just over 3kilos so he fitted in our hand me downs 00000 perfect. but it only lasted 2 weeks. he fitted in 0000 for abour 2 months, and is now in 000, at 3 months old.
if you have a 4kilo baby it will fit 0000 perfect. also think of the weather....have fun with baby stuff :p i loved going baby shopping.

UH, most of the clothes will say newborn, on 1-3 months, depending on how big your tummy is.. And the doctors can tell you how much they think the baby will weigh.. Congrats!

buy some newborn clothing but dont spend too much on them because babies grow fast! also it doesnt hurt to stock up on outfits for 6 months and up.

Both my babies fit 000 when they were born, maybe just a lil bit big but soon fit them within 2wks.
