Cells have mitochondria in them which convert the stored glucose or glycogen in the cytoplasm and granules in presence of oxygen to energy(ATP) carbon dioxide and water.mitochondria thus is also called the powerhouse of the cell .Cell for this process is called a type of factory-manufacturing energy out of the raw materials.
