just seemed like there was something wrong with the chemistry.....too cocky for their own good.....too many big names.......what do you think?

Just goes to show that you actually have to play the games.
You can NOT be automatically handed the Title on a silver platter.
Thier big heads got in the way, and it serves them right.

Seriously u guys overanalyze way too much the better team won...ever thought of that. Cardinals played better, Mets didnt have their 2 top pitchers, and a hurt Cliff Floyd. Mets beat Carpenter in game 6 to even up the series. They had 2 chances at bases loaded and they didnt convert simple as that.

For baseball, you don't need too much chemistry, just as long as you're not having a 1 team brawl on the field. It's mostly seperate work. Look at the Yankees, they sign the best 4 people available at each position, but they don't have too many big egos. Even when Babe & Gehrig were fighting years & years ago, they still kicked but.

No not at all...that isnt even the case at all...the Mets lost their 2 best pitchers in Pedro and El Duque...its impossible to win a championship w/o solid pitching...thats why the Cards dont have a chance over the Tigers.

Too many big names? UH......u might be lookin' at the wrong NY team, dude. I don' think there was somethin' wrong with the chemistry. I don't think they're too cocky, either. They were just too excited.

Not enough pitching, Pedro their biggest free agent signing out. El Dugue out. They had a great season most wins in baseball but the injury's to the pitching staff caught up with them.

no they worked great the only thing it is that there pitching broke down at the end of the year with padro and Orlando Hernandez those would be easy wins if they were healty
