Okay well BEFORE the new generation of ipods came out( the new version is the new colored nanos and the 80 GB video and the smaller shuffle)

Well i have the 30 GB iPod video and i downloaded a movie and ect ect since the new itunes version came in.

Anyways, so i was lsitening to music and ect and i didnt watch any movies during this period of time. So then it ran out of battery and i charged it ( Just to let you know i charged it with a plug thing to the wall, not to the computer)

And the next day)about 24 hours) it was STILL charging. -.-

So is anything wrong ? Should i go to an apple store and just ask ? Or is it some glitch cuz of the new iPod/ iTunes gereration and dowload?

2nd day and its STILL not charged. It keeps on having the icon thing that means low battery. -.-

ANd when i plug it in the comp itunes wont pop up to upload new songs.

If i get a new iPod , can i get all the songs, tv shows, and movies into the new video?

Try resetting it.... if wont work... my answer to ur Question is...Yes, Not Actually Broken.... It is stated that iPod Batteries Run out very easily about 500 full charges and it dies..... well not really.... so if you reach 500 charges your Music will soon play for less hours like amybe 8 and after 20 charges it's 7.... and less and less... until it will run for only minutes... the new iPod Batteries cannot be replaced..... Sadly though...... It is glued to the casing. I Highly recommend you to buy the new brighter screen iPod 30GB if your still in videos and if not and really want more music try the Black iPod Nano 2nd Gen... Cost The Same as the Video but cuts the size, it also looks fashionable with sleeker designs.... or if you could not afford a new one.... temporarily buy the iPod Shuffle 2nd Generation... Just to listen to music.....But be sure to take care of the batteries after you buy another one (Like fully draining it and charging again) iPod is still a great music player with friendly UI and Nice designs... Hope you can fix the problem... if not... try to use ur iPod as an external hard drive.... just to transfer musics from 1 pc to another :D Tc.... btw, I own a 30GB iPod 5G (The old one like yours) it works seamlessly with iTunes and no problems whatsoever.....

Try Di connecting your iPod from the Mains.
Then Press PLAY/PAUSE and MENU Simultaneously ,Hold them down until an APPLE Logo appears.

This Resets Your iPod-Re connect it to Your Computer and try and refresh your Play lists and Video.
If this does not work-then you have one of the Recognized Faulty batch that Apple has acknowledged.
Find an Apple retailer from the Link Below, and return it!
