With so many horrible things going on today's society, I wish I can change some of the laws. What do you think of them ?

Any child molestors ( especially their own children) should be castrated and prisoned at least 20 years.

Any one who physically abuses children or helpless elderly must be caned mandatorily plus other punishment.

Any one who cheat and steal money from low income elderly or family must be repay the money in at least ten folds plus interests, and can not file for bankrupcy. They are liable for life on the debt even after the victims passed away.

Any government officials proven guilty of corruptions must be confiscated all the money they stole plus 50% of their original assets.
First time convicted rapist must goes through brainwash session. The second time convicted will have one nut removed. The third time offended will have both nuts removed by then. It is a "Three strike, they are out".
There are more I could think of but no space

A bit more details:
These are just the severe punishment that will make people think twice about doing such things.
Someone may think it is harsh. But tell it to the victims about the physical and emotional stresses they take on for doing nothing.

Some may think it does not help improving the core values of the society. But first thing first, I definitely think that tough punishment can help reduces crime rates.

To mentally guide and educate the people, there must be other assistence/preventive programs to go along. But for those who is repeat criminals or someone who refuse to respect laws and other human beings, I think we should spare no mercy. I respect a bit more to criminals who picked on someone who can defend themselves. But when it comes to the unfortunate and helpless people, the government and the laws should take a hard line stand.

I am totally with you all the way! Our Judges that WE the people have elected into office are following the guide lines of the law that our State Government Officials have out lined to be followed. Why our law makers and the people of our state decided to become more leanent on convicted offenders is beyond me. This is probably way before your time, it is mine-but I have read about the old "chain gang", and it worked out good back then. People back then did do hard time for their punishment. If you look into "hard time" now, you see drapes that cover bars, you see TV's for intertainment, basketball, goodie machine's, and in a female prison-a hair salon! Gee, shelter, food and my hair done-sounds like a bad vacation huh? Child molesters get to be kept a "secret". It was no secret they were raping a poor innocent child, taking away the poor child innocence, leaving him with a life of nightmares. All for minutes of control, not sexual desire! So, whats so awful in letting the child molester walk around in open prison with so called "normal guys" with a tag on stating "he's a child molester". I bet all those men in their, who fathered a child would love to say hi. The child molester would get to feel the fear the little child probably DID feel when he was getting abused..And when they do get out, what's wrong with a sign in there yard, we'd all like to know where not to go. Why have human compassion for such a sicko? For gosh sake, this person has abused the most innocent . I guess to make changes in the system, we need to voice are opinion louder to the people who count. Until we are HEARD....

Hi there,
Would you like to run for president?
I sure as heck would vote for you....
The issues that you have raised are definitely crimes against humanity.
The victims hurt by these offenses are always severely overlooked.
It seems that the perpetrators are consistently given another chance to commit the crimes again.

In the case of Governmental corruption, they seem to walk away with a measly (" I'm sorry") or resign yet, they never forfeit the funds they stole.
It would be "morally correct" as opposed to " Political correctness", to punish these criminals to the fullest extent of the law.
I think then, there would be greater accountability and a deeper respect for the authoritative seat in Public Office.
For their beguiling misconduct; I think that they should be stringently punished for the felons they are, just like any other criminal....

I dont think you are harsh enough. The victims families should be able to torture these people for as long as they wish. And i mean **** em pretty bad. But they would have to go without treatment. That means if they got there leg broke, o well. Bleeding to death, let them suffer. I think that would straighten out a lot of this mess that goes on today.

I totally agree with an eye for an eye. The only problem is that 85% of people who agree with you on here wouldn't stand up in public and say that they agree. It's easy to say something on yahoo. Not so easy to do it for real.

I think you are totally on track, I agree ten thousand percent. I dont understand why our government is so wishy-washy with criminals. It seems as though they have more rights and more people fighting for their rights than people who do not commit crimes. They say our jails and prisons are becoming overcrowded. that is because they are doing at all wrong. They dont want criminals to right their wrongs, they just wanna lock them up.

Your policy ideas are simplistic and myopic.

As much as some people would like it, revenge does not constitute a valid criminal justice policy. It's uncivilized and ultimately accomplishes nothing in terms of bettering society or lowering the crime rate.
