It is a Japanese name. I have a student named Airi. I live and teach English in Koriyama, Japan. However, it isn't a common name. Other than my one student named Airi, I don't other any one else here with that name.

I don't know what it means.

Forget the first response.you are correct the name originates from Tokoyo, which last time I checked was still in Japan not China.I do however forget the meaning but,I'm sure you can look it up on a Tokoyo history sites under the origin of the name Airi.
