As a Houston fan yes...I hate the Cardinals, I cant stand LaRussa, and I cant stand Pujols. Had Pedro and Orlando Hernandez been in the series it wouldnt have really been this close, but they did win fair and square injuries are no excuse....BUT...

Cardinal fans...do you remember what happened last time yall went to the series? Same thing that happened to us last year. Dont expect it to get better going against a much better team with a much MUCH better pitching staff. Pitching wins championships...Tigers will win the championship.

Why should anyone be mad that the Cardinals are going?

The won the game fair and square. You could be disappointed that it's not your team going. You could be upset or even mad at Carlos Beltran for striking out looking with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth....I mean he gets paid a whole heckuvalot more than Yadier Molina...and Molina came through.

Bottom line is this....there weren't any fans interfering, there weren't any bad calls on the umps part, there weren't any questionable anythings other than management decisions so why be mad?

The Cardinals were the better team...it may have taken them all the way to the last inning of the last game but they came out on top....it was one of the most exciting games I've watched in years and had the Cardinals lost I wouldn't be mad that the Mets were going to the Series...I'd be upset and a little sad...but Mad? Come on now...it's just a game....the Mets will be back in 20 years.

and as for the Astros! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA That's funny. "I hate Pujols"....I guess you hate Beltran for Boltin' from you smoggy stinky city too.

Why be mad? Every team had an equal chance at the start of the season. The Cardinals won it fair and square. The Cardinals were under dogs but came out on top=job well done. If you watched game 7, you couldn't ask for much more...It was a very good game.

Why would anyone be mad unless they were bitter about the Mets losing. The fact is the Red birds won fair and square. The Mets had a chance several times at the end they had base loaded, there were a couple of times they even had at least 2 men on base. Better luck to the mets next season.

Mets Astros YAnkees fans----enjoy the show. The Cards were hurt most of the season and is just starting to heal. This is the team that could have won 100 games just like the last two seasons. I knew they had a chance all along. They have a good pitching staff and one of the best players ever (Pujos). Dont be surprised if they sweep the Tigers.

Me for one. I had picked the Tigers and the Meets to be in the World series, with the Mets winning it all. No mind. They had one helluva season. It would have been nice to see the two managers of the years facing off. I am happy for Willie Randolph regardless. What he did with that team. Unbelievable. But I think the Tigers will win it all. Take away the Cardinal bats, and you can beat them. They have good pitching, but the Tigers have great pitching. Mets lost 2 of there great ones.

I'm a Yankee fan, but yeah, in a way I'm disappointed, because I think the Mets deserved to go to the World Series. But at the same time I'm kinda relieved because I won't have to deal with my father watching the games and flipping out, screaming, cursing, and then taking it out on everyone else if they lost or didn't do well (he's also a Yankee fan, but always is looking for a reason to complain about something). He has been unbearable these past few nights.

Oh yes. We all know they are going to lose because they always do this time of year. The Mets are a WAY more exciting team, and I hate the Cardinals because they always win the central instead of my Reds.
