You are probably out for the season. Make sure to follow the doctors advise or the recovery time will be much longer.

Depends on the severity, but you will almost certainly be out for the duration of a season. Sometimes it's not prudent to return at all, but a lot of that has to do with how well the surgery goes and how motivated you are to keep playing.

If you are active, you will need a surgical repair. Recovery depends of the aggressiveness of your therapy/rehab, your motiviation, and your overall physical conditioning and health

I have seen this injury sideline most for about a year... Trust me you do not want to risk tearing it again. I have seen that happen and it isn't pretty.
