Highwaymen are coming.
They're on a run through the cane break.
Hide all the women and the silver and the gold,
Highwaymen, on the road.
Don't you be fooled by all those fancy clothes,
He's a highwayman and he's a rogue.

You better keep looking over your shoulder.
You better keep looking over your shoulder.
You better keep looking over your shoulder.
Pale Moon Rider's on the way.
Tomorrow you'll have nothing,
When that Pale Moon Rider rides away.

Heard it all from old man Swaney.
He said, "Pretty bad 'bout eighteen and three,"
That thing with Sam Mason in the courtyard.
Till Little Harp he's hanging in a tree.
Somewhere up around Greenville,
They hung that Little Harp in a tree, Yes indeed.

Highwaymen are coming.
They're on a run through the cane break.
Hide all the women and the silver and the gold
Highwaymen, on the road.
Don't you be fooled by all those fancy clothes,
He's a highwayman.

Gettin' pretty dark
Wish I was home
What was that?
Highwaymen are coming
They're on a run through the cane break
Hide all the women and the silver and the gold
Highwaymen on the road...
Highwaymen on the road...
Highwaymen on the road...

I think you are looking for the Up With People song. I was in Up With People when we sang this song. I copied the lyrics below.

From:
"50th Anniversary Collection Song Lyrics"

Moon Rider
(Based on the recollections of astronaut Eugene Cernan Commander of Apollo XVII)
Words by: Paul & Ralph Colwell
Music by: Paul & Ralph Colwell & Herb Allen
Original Release: People Are The Energy (1979)

"The painter tries to paint it the poet tries to say it
The philosopher tries to convey the meaning to your mind.

But here I am – a quarter million miles away
One human being – one human seeing it for the first time.

I can see the white of snow-capped mountains
The blues and turquoise of the oceans blend.
Australia and Asia coming round the corner
And I can’t tell where one country starts and the other one ends.

The sun is setting on the Pacific
They’re just getting up in Rome.
I don’t see the lights of my city
All I can see is home.

I saw the world without any borders
Without any fighting without any fear
So Captain give the order
We’re going to cross the next frontier.

I know this view won’t last forever
Soon I’ll be back to reality.
But isn’t it the way we perceive things
That makes them what they will be?

I see the world without any borders … etc."
