Listen...I had an experience a couple days ago that taught me....
A cab came to pick me up. I had my cat wrapped in a towel so it
wouldn't scratch me. I was taking to my sisters place. The cabby
was a black girl. She turned and looked at me and started going
off about my cat...just bitching and yelling. I was shocked by her
attitude. I said politely, I can get just get another cab. She was
really nasty and MEAN!! A BAD ATTITUDE.....so I got out of cab
and asked for her name..She refused. And took off. I was so
upset and mad....because like I felt like she ruined my whole day!
So, I got another cab, who knows her, says she's a b*tch. And
gave me a # to make a complaint. So, I went on with my day......
And I went to K-Mart to get some things. There was a black girl at
the door inside selling something. And her bright face just lit up
like a candle!! She smiled alot and was VERY NICE. And I bought something from her. She made me realize.....not everybody is exactly the same......there are nice people and mean people. There are good peeps and bad peeps. It really is an individual thing. So, DON'T EVER TAKE IT PERSONAL.......
That nice girl got both of us laughin !! She made a difference....

It's been a long time since I've had a job but, yes, there were a couple of men who disgusted me. One was a man who always came into my office and tried to tell me filthy jokes and another made growling sounds in his throat every time I passed. In the former case, my boss happened to be standing in back of 'filthy mouth' once and threatened him. No more prob. with him. In the 2nd case I just tried to ignore it. I married soon after that and moved away. Otherwise, I prob. would have put in a complaint against him to personnell for sexual harrassment.

An old friend used to really get on my nerves. he would wear clear nail polish, wear powder on his face which I dont think they make a powder to cover that big of a blemish, he'd wear pants that would have holes in them to make sure people knew he was wearing a thong, he'd wear his wives pants that he could barely fit into to because he liked the style, and on and on. He's not gay even though everybody thinks he is, or atleast he likes women. But he is definately borderline between queer and metro. Its so embarrasing to be seen around him and to keep people from associating me with his style I dont hang around him much anymore. Just stopped talking to him. Men should act like men and beer should taste like beer. Miller Light.

I ignore them all day and wait for my therapy session so I can talk all the sh*t I need to about them. You can't keep that on your chest forever or else things can get ugly. Or...I just tell them that Im a bi*ch and to leave me the hell alone! Either way..It keeps me from lashing out like I want to.

Well there are always people like that.
What i like to do is find someone who CAN tolerate the person, and try to get them to hang out.
For example, if someone keeps on bugging you by talking abt football, make sure you are near your intended target, and get THEM to talk abt it while you quietly sneak out

I just keep reminding myself that we are all here to serve a purpose. And their purpose is to remind me how I don't want to be.
