Isn't meatus like the most disgusting word ever? I doubt they could've thought of a more disgusting one (now I'm sure I'll hear some interesting ideas)... ew. It just makes penises seem so much more nasty than they are.

Actually meatus is a medical term. It is the area which most people would say is the top area or tip of the penis. Therefore it does have importance when describing what it looks like. In the medical field we often have to assess peoples pain, conditions and appearance. Medically speaking it's not gross.
