not global warming cuz you're just gonna freak some people out...cuz everyone thinks global warming is gonna end this world... it ain't true i don't think i mean its bad but it will get better...
not terrorism in america cuz it may still be an emotional time since 9/11 to do that as a topic...
ok skip to it i think you should do public smoking cuz im against smoking. and i know it is bad for people so...yeah...
or you can do research on family violence or school violence..those are some areas i think definately need to be worked on n this world.... good Luck on the research!!!!! hope i helped!

I choose all of them!
School Violence is a hot topic right now. Anything religious/faith based is going to be a good topic as well.
If you go with Public Smoking, several hospitals have had to ban smoking in and on their campuses. It's been very difficult to get the patients to comply, might be a good aspect.
I think Global Warming, Terrorism in American, Bird Flu - are all overdone.
Do you have to pick from those? A very interesting/hot topic is the war in Africa and how little publicity it gets compared to all the other controversy going on in the middle east. It's rather tragic.
Just my thoughts.
Do we get to read it when you are finished? PLEASE? PRETTY PLEASE?

The best to write about? Terrorism would probably be most other people's pick so I wouldn't choose that. Public smoking would get 2 different views. Smoker v. non smoker. Emotional health is unsusual. I think I woulld go with that. It would help the people around you understand others better. Not everyone is the same but people are quick to assume someone different is emotionally unstable and understanding others is important.

USA just hit the 3 Billion mark this past week. I think that would be a good choice personally. That's first choice.
Second choice would be "Terrorism in America"..there is all kind of info on that. Would be easy to find how the government is protecting us now and beefing up security at airports and war in Iraq and all.

global warming would be good because there has been a lot of press about it, especially since An Inconvenient Truth came out. i think it would be easier to structure for a research paper because you can describe the scientific process and then go into what is being done about it. good luck!

dreams because it's an interesting topic... Specially when you look into the meanings of, you keep a dream diary and you keep a log of your activities for about a week... I did a project like that for a psychology class once and it was interesting and fun.
