i am fairly new at ice skating.. but can do basic manuvers.. forwards, backwards, swizzles, cross-overs, and stopping.. im haveing major trouble trying to figure out how to skate forwards and then twist quickly to bo going backwards, but still traveling in the same direction i was already going.. i know its a quick twist of the hips, but everytime i try, i end up stopping myself or spinning.. arrrgh.. its frustrating

cut a question mark shape (without the dot) with the toe of the leg your turning on, start at the curve of the question mark ending on the straight, it will be upside down when you start, but as it makes you turn it will be the right way up, works for me every time

P.S. don't expect to see the question mark on the ice, it's just a way to describe the movement
