I worked at Domino's and Hungry Jacks. I was very shy but it was fun talking to people over the counter. Domino's is fun whatever you do, making pizzas, answering calls, serving. Do you like talking to people and do you like making things, coz it all depends.

So.."A front counter assistant" Is that what they're calling it these days??? Oh boy, I'm telling my age..ugh. Well, my first job was at Wendy's. I did the drive-thru when they were open until 2-3 AM - that was FUN! I also worked "front register", cooked, cleaned, took apart the salad bar (when they had one) & made alot of friends. One being my best friend to this day - Maid of Honor in my wedding!
Oh, by the way, I actually met Mr. Dave Thomas, supersweet man & Wendy's is really named after his daughter, Wendy.
By the way, it's also nice to be a part of something. Try it out, if you don't like it, you can quit, but remember - toughing it out may be the only chance you have at getting better.

Depends on if you're a people person or not. Up front you get to talk to people and socialize more, but then sometimes you put up with annoying people. In the back cooking is sometimes pretty greasy! (although I never worked at a DQ, so I don't know about them). But if you like cooking or creating pretty treats, then the back is for you!! =0) Sounds like you'll be having to try both out anyway, so you'll find out wich is better for you. Don't forget to smile! =0)

If you are a people person you will have more fun working out front. I work the graveyard shift at Mc Donalds so my husband can be at home with our son. I am starting out cooking and Mc Donalds is very particular about how the food is assembled and it can get really confusing when it is busy.

As cook, you are out of sight of any non-employees. You don't have to deal with customers, less stressful.
Up front, you can have interesting conversations with people, and you never know who you'll meet.
Or you could end up like I was, and do both at the same time. Take orders over drive thru and cook it yourself.

You will need a nerve pill for the front counter, and acne cream when you cook. Choose how you want to spend part of that 5.15
