If you want to get a bit more technical heres the break down on bytes to kilo to mega to giga to peta :-)

1024 bytes = 1 KB (and as said above usually abbreviated to just k)
1024 KB = 1 Megabytes
1024 MB = 1 Gigabyte
1024 GB = 1 Terabyte
1024 TB = 1 Petabyte

Usually a quick and dirty short cut is to ignore the 24 and do a straight 1000 = 1 conversion

Exactly 250 K
"K" is a common abreviation for kilobytes

And where it says KB It is derived from KiloBytes=KB
Here is the scale
Byte (smallest computer can read)
KiloBytes 1024 Bytes
MegaByte 1024 Kilobytes
Gigabyte 1024 Megabytes
Terabyte 1024 Gigabytes
Petabyte 1024 Terabytes

To give you an idea the average size of a dvd is about 4-5 Gigabytes bigger ones being 8 Gigabytes
And the answerer below me is naming how many BYTES is in 250 K (Look Above)

It is 250000 But not exactly either because it is 1024 Bytes in a kilobytes so you have to add 24 Bytes for each Kilobyte
But remember KB Is KIlobytes and a kilobyte is 1024 BYTES

So Here are some terms for kilobytes

K For the first letter in kilobytes
KB For the K&B In Kilobytes as capitilized here KiloBytes
And Kbytes obviosly excluding the ILO part
Thats pretty much it
Please give me 10 points :)

Patrick N Got it
But i did a lot of typing

In computer term, anything in bytes is calculated using the magic number 1024.
1Kilobytes = 1024bytes,
1Megabytes = 1024Kilobytes, etc.
Just remember the magic number.
