Had a boa constrictor once. Was nice except for having to feed it mice.

In the racoon family, an absolute Imp of a pet. Looks a bit like a slicked down racoon with a long nose, acts like a monkey on crack. A very difficult pet to have as they have the intelligence of a 2 year old human. And the personality, pretty much.
Check out animalsexotique.com if you want to look into them. Not for everyone, if you don't have experience with exotic pets then don't even look.
