Yes, I feel they are important for safety purposes. I always carry mine on me. Anytime at all, all you have to do is call...and I'll be there.

True Story: I had a cell phone, but the security office where I work gave it to someone else. See she saw the phone, wanted and came up to the office and told them it was her's. She signed it out under a fake name. The best part, my name was actually on the phone, they didn't even verify the names.
I asked for their assistance to pay for a new one, and they turned me down. I tried to claim it as stolen, the police said "It's not stolen when they willfully handed over to the woman".
Nice story? So I don't have one, but my husband does and I just use his all the time now. It's a blessing in disguise. I don't have to carry a phone around and answer it all the time. PEACE AND QUIET :)

I used to have one, but we had to close the account to save some money. I can honestly say, having worked for Nokia for five years and having a cell phone for more, that I don't miss it and I never want one again. I don't like having that kind of tie-down, and while cell phones can be lifesavers for some people, for me it's a risk I'm willing to take. If I need immediate help with something, God is only a prayer away, I don't need a cell phone.

yeah, i broke my other one..which was pretty
durible (sp?) i mean i would throw it
up in the air and watch it fall on the ground.
i would take off the antena thing and chew on it
i would literally play fetch with my dog with it..
things like that. until one day it started freezing up.
hmm, why am i telling you this?
anyways, now i have a black razor
and i don't like it.
it's too much work and responsibility.
and these days you don't need a cell phone,
everyone else has one..just bum off your friends!
