He is in the military and we are in HI. I don't want to stay here because it is very expensive and it will be very difficult to start from zero on my own. I really want to remain in the US, my Green Card is permanent and I should be able to get a decent job, maybe in sales or an office job but nothing that pay extraordinary. So I am looking for a nice city, with plenty of job opportunities and maybe a temperate climate and also with lower rental prices.
Any suggestions?

Best thing for you to do is to search jobs online. Monster.com or yahoo jobs or careerbuilder.com. Personally I like North Carolina and have been researching to move there. Some parts of South Carolina are nice to. I've always lived on the east coast, so I'm not familiar with the west coast. I've been checking rents in NC and you can get a one bedroom apt. there for about $500 a month in the Fayettville area.
