I haven't had a solid stool in about a month but I do go to the bathroom at least every other day. It is also sometimes hard to even get the pieces out. I've tried metamusil wafers but no changes.

Go to a health food store, ask for Devil's Claw capsules. It is a gentle herb. Ask the clerk what you need to know. The condition you describe would not be very good even if you were not pregnant. You may not be drinking enough water. That does not mean enough coffee. Start taking in 6 to 8 glasses of water a day.

First tell your doctor, he or she can recommend a good stool softener and drink 8 glasses of water every day. Water is as much a key to end constipation as fiber is. Tell your doctor and find a solution or you will end up with hemorrhoids!!

I remember being constipated for a week straight and feeling miserable. Drink more water!!! Are you having morning sickness at all? Try to eat smaller meals more times a day and see if that helps move your bowels.

You need to drink a lot more fluids. You are constipated. Take to your Obstetrician for help with this common problem. Happy pregnancy!

try increasing your fiber intake, popcorn is really high in fiber, also increase your fruit intake it will help loosen your stooles and make them softer, even though your pregnant try to avoid dairy it can be very constipateing at times
