Okayy. . .Revolutionary War: What happened after the Treaty of Paris [1783] to the Enslaved Africans. What do you think they would say about the war from their point of veiw?

The treaty of Paris ended the Revolutionary Wars and gave the 13 colonies back to the americans and british took over most of canada

If you go to this site I think you will be able to put together a terrific paper. It gives you some accounts of African Americans who fought in the Revolutionary War and gives you a look at life as a person of color after the War of Independence.

I forgot what the Treaty of Paris did, although I just learned it myself.
Say what it did and perhaps I can help.

Well, I cannot be sure of a correct answer, but if you think about it; England had controlled the Americas from far away, so they couldn't experience things and control things head-on. When the colonies recieved power, they had more authority to do what ever they pleased. (The first constitution was very unstable because it was just the opposite of how it was with British control) So with new found power, they could manipulate slaves more and more to their advantage. When the US was first formed after the Rev. War, the whole US wasn't yet occupied, obviously, and the 13 states were all in the south. The south relied heavily on plantations and growth of crops. So if the new government is trying to gain money, the blacks are needed more and more to do so.
