It could be. The menstrual cycle after postpartum can be unusual for several months. However, you should contact your OB to make sure it is not an infection or such.

I bled for 10 weeks after my c-section;-( My period di not come back for a year though.
If you had a c-section, or have not been taking it easy it is very likely that you are still having lochia. If you are feeding your child naturally, it is probably not your period. If it continues or starts to have a foul smell, it could be tissue that was not expelled during the birth. You should see a doctor if it continues for much longer.

I would think so. I had a baby about 6 months ago, and it seemed that just as i was finished bleeding from having the baby, my period started up again. My periods are certainly much worse after this child. If you bleed for more than your normal period length, you should consult a Dr.

I agree with Kitty.. I just finally got my actual period this month, and I had my son in June.. I had a c-section.. I had the same thing you did a few times, but it was only spotting for me... If you're really concerned.. doesnt hurt to consult an OBGYN

I would say, call your OB asap tomorrow, you could have an infection. Any type of burning, with cramping, cant be good.

I don't remember having any of those symtoms when I had my baby last year. I think you should call your ob/gyn first thing in the morning.
