What I think Tiki is thinking about is when he's like 50 and what his health will be like. Like Earl Cambell barely can even walk because of the punishment that he gave his body plus many running back retire early....Jim Brown, Barry Sanders

I think thats a decision we should leave up to Tiki Barber. I will admit that I am a Jets fan and don't care if he retires or not but I could see reasons why he should stay in the game and why he shouldn't. He should stay because he is a top 5 back in the league and playing on an upcoming team. There are plenty of reasons to retire though. There is nothing wrong with retiring at the peak of your game, its less physical strain on his body, and he probably won't be leaving any money on the table. If you are from New York, you probably have seen Tiki Barber on various outlets that are not football related. He has shown that he can be more than a football star and why not capitalize on that now?
Leave it up to Tiki to decide whether he wants to retire but understand that either way, he will end up being the winner in the long run.

I was upset to see Barry Sanders retire, then Robert Smith when also retired now I see Tiki on his way out its going to be bad; however it is for the best for his body, we don't know the pain that he might go thru so we have to leave it up to him... so if he wants to retire that is his call and not yours, so whatever he decides for himself I wish him the best....

He says it taking alot out of him and he wants to be able to play with his grands. If he thinks it's time for him to retire than of coarse he should.
