The entire party has become a complete joke. They have our military completely committed to a situation that realistically has no solution. By removing Saddam Hussein, we planted our fat asses in the middle of a civil war, and now as election time grows near, they want to distract us from the ant pile they made us step in.

Their distraction is Immigration issues. Republican politicians are on every talk show lately, they want a fence, and they want to scare YOU. I talk with half a dozen mexicans on yahoo messenger everyday, we are speaking in English (because they are more educated than us) and none of them give a crap about moving to this glorious land we think we have. Grow up fellow US citizens, we aren't the center of the world.

missourim43.... you are the most dangerous of all US citizens. You think you are smart and your brain is completely cut off from accepting new ideas.

Republicans are subtle fascists that are taking away, little by little, our freedoms. They want to control anything and everything YOU see on TV, via the supposed non-partisan FCC. They want to set the standards, as if their moral judgement is superior.

They're ok with curfews for teens and even adults...despite the constitutional freedom of assembly.

When they're about to lose a close election, they LOVE to start telephone campaigns "FOR" the democratic opponent, posing as a gay rights organization, and saying how wonderful the democratic candidate is for supporting gay rights.....this really gets those gray haired old ladies and bible thumpers out to vote AGAINST him. That is truly reprehensible, but it's a known Rove tactic.... It's how he swung Ohio to win the election for Bush.

Don't like the Republicans? They'll call you anti-american, unpatriotic, bin Laden sympathizers. Bush barely won the last election, but Republicans treated the victory as a mandate of the people. Please.

Republicans, your time is about up... the pendulum is swinging...

Believing or saying that the oil companies are "funding" the republican party is just silly. Compared to the insurers, lawyers, lobbyists and unions, the oil companies are a bunch of cheap pikers who do put what little money they raise into republican coffers. Have you ever bothered to research anything you are told to believe or repeat? Look I will assume you do not know how to research anything so here is a link. Go look for yourself who gives how much and who they give it to. You really sound stupid with this oil business stuff. Do you just lie or are you too lazy to look up the real dollars? Oil & Gas have donated $13.M this cycle compared to Lawyers/Lobbyists who gave $115.5M mostly to democrats. Unions gave a whopping $46.0M almost all to democrats. Sounds more like So I guess you should ask that everyone vote for republican to help get the big money influence of lobbyists out of democrats in congress. I'm sorry to sound rude but this kind of stuff is just so stupid, all you have to do is open a browser and you can see all of the democrats lying about oil and big money in elections.

First off, the Republicans since 1994 have done more good for this country than any elected democrat, offering up more legislation to strengthen education, economy, environment, increased the amount of Federal parks, increased minority home ownership more than any other President, almost lowest tax rates in 15 years, extremely low inflation, very low interest rates, more jobs created than in the 90's, cut budget deficits, reduced National Debt % to the GDP increasing American solency, retooled the military, freed 50 million people, allowed 6 middle eastern nations first time ever democratic elections, strengthened the Homeland Security, only 1 attack on US soil compared to 6 attacks in the 90's. Yes, republicans are not perfect but when you are intellectually honest with yourself, you see that the democrats have yet to tell the truth about the republicans. So from from a former democrat official turned republican, I will never advocate voting against any of these current republicans, America cannot afford for the disastoruos actions the democrats would bring upon this nation. If you really love America, GOP is the ONLY answer.

There are days where I wonder just how will I vote or better yet, will I even bother? A confirmed Democrate, tonight I've been put in my place more times than I can think and honestly, a lot of these folks know what they are talking about. Maybe the democrates won't take office, but as you pointed out, the republicans don't seem much like a good choice, either. So what do we do? Screw it, I vote for Mickey Mouse.

I know we are not the center of the world, never believed us to be. We are a mere speck on planet Earth.

Having said that, I already have voted absentee and I think we are in need of a change and I voted Dem. Having only one party in control is bad (remember the saying, absolute power corrupts).

I sure will vote for the Republican candidates in the next major election. Republican can do much better jobs. They have faced tough issues and made good decisions. They've made the American citizens proud to be a land of high morals. Yes, I definitely vote for the Republicans.

Both the senate and the house are filled with greedy, corrupt, self-seeking drunks, and I am talking about BOTH political parties.
It is time to clear most of them out, not that I expect anything much better to take their place.
Cynical old goat, ain't I.

We may not be the center of the world, but by voting liberal secular progressive Democrat you may find yourself praying 6 times a day and your wife or sister or girlfriend wearing a burka. Is that what your idea of a wonderful world is?
Perhaps you need help moving to Mexico with your Internet friends...should be easy..no traffic is going in that direction.

In my home state, Idaho, YES. The state constantly votes republican. And, there are the diehard republicans who will also vot that way. I will likely not be voting that way, but I vote on issue lines, not party ones.

I may not vote for Republicans, but I will very likely be worm food before I would ever vote for a Democrat. They really are a sadder bunch than even the Repubs.
