American and Iraqi efforts to improve security in Baghdad have failed to reduce bloodshed in the increasingly violent Iraqi capital, the senior US military spokesman in Iraq acknowledged on Thursday.
In an uncharacteristically gloomy admission, Major General William Caldwell said the recent surge in violence was “disheartening”. He said US and Iraqi forces would have to “refocus” security measures. The review was demanded by General George Casey, who commands the 140,000 US troops in Iraq.
Okay, How do you refocus?
Maybe its time to bring the troops home and let Iraq Take Care of her own.

Overall consensus is for the US to get out. If we read now unclassified documents from direct from DC, as well as other think tanks, they will confirm that the US does not intend to leave anyway. However, I believe Bush has bitten off more than he can chew this time. Every war is different. This isn't a War on Terror. This is more like a War Against Evil. with many players I might add. Not too sure if recent and elevated number of deaths in Iraq are Muslim against Muslim. History tells us even recently, that there have been and continue to be any number of situations where one group fashions themselves as aniother group just so that the blame for particular incidents are reversed. I believe most in the United States are tired of these attacks, tired of losing US troops, as well as the daily staggering toll of INNOCENT Iraqi civilians.
