Serial killers? Are they always white?

I know that the man they are acusing to be the"Alantic child muderer," is black, but he was never charged with any of the muders (and I don't think he is responsible). I know statisticly, more blacks commit more murder, but when it comes to the complet psychopath who dismembers people and eats their flesh/saves body parts as trophies, is always middle class white men? Are there serial killers over in the oriants?

danny rollins (rollings?) saved body parts for trophies. Then that one guy saved womens parts to make a "suit".

Sadly, there are many serial killers around the world. We mostly hear about the just the ones in our own country, in which are thier personality traits are generally listed as:

*White male between 25 and 35 years old.
*Can be of high income or low income.
*Average to high intelligence.
*Usually married with children and has a career.

Also, Wayne Williams, the Atlantic child murder was charged, yes. His conviction was controversial, because the evidence used in court against him was entirely circumstantial. Also, what wasn't mentioned much, except on the documentary about him, was that after he was convicted, the murders continued.

Over 90% of the known serial killers in this country have been caucasian males. A couple of exceptions are Wayne Williams, the child killer in Atlanta, and Richard Ramirez, the "Night Stalker" killer in Los Angeles. And even then: the Williams case is under review.
It is such an overwhelming pattern, that when a new serial killer pops up on the charts, the FBI's psychological profilers immediately begin their profile with: "white male, 25-40 years old, marginally employed, abusive childhood." Those are given stats.
As someone mentioned, there have been notorious serial killers in Europe, most notably Germany and Russia, and of course Jack the Ripper in England, but again, they were white.
The reason for this is thought to be that mental illness effects different ethnic groups in differing ways, and it just happens that the necessary chemical brain ingredients for this are inherent to white males. Women of any race are hardly ever multiple killers, since the hormone testosterone is a major precursor towards violent behavior.

serial killers are not of one color only. they can be your next door neighbor who is Hispanic or the person down the road who is African American. there is the myth that all serial killers are white but that has been proven true over the years as the numbers of other ethnicities increased as well when it came to being a serial killers. as for more blacks committing murder that can be debated upon since some are and some are not. also the number of whites being serial killers has increased over the last couple of years according to some research that i did recently- on a webpage that is- and it is not only whites who admit to dismembering the persons they kill and maybe eating their flesh. so now, it is not only whites as most of the outdated research shows. as for saving body parts for trophies i have never heard about that except read in my history class about the ancient times when the barbarians used to do that, so i do not recall people who are seriall killers who save body parts as trophies-that is just sick!

According to criminologist Eric Hickey, who has assembled the most extensive database on demography of serial murder states that, 88% of serial killers are male, 85% are Caucasian. My own personal feeling is--this information only reflects those serial killers who are caught and convicted. I'm sure we will never know the actual figures because I'm sure there are countless others who are never caught and thrown into a data base.

You know, I resently read a book about serial killers written by a forensic psychiatrist who profiled and interviewed more that 80 serial killers. Although most of them were white there was a black couple who committed the unspeakable. This black man dominated his wife into doing the things only a psychopath would do. Very interesting book.

Unfortunately, I have to agree. So far, all serial killing cases known that are publicly made known so far show White Caucasians as the perps.

But then I'm living in Malaysia. The only thing close to brutal murders that we had was a case where Mona Affendi, a medicine woman, and her assistant, killed a politician for mystical reasons and chopped him into 18 parts, burying him in a construction site where a house was under construction using well-placed cement.

Like the first guy said, cue criminologist/profilist?

Mostly, yes. But remember the father/son duo that were shooting people from a hole in the trunk of their car around Whashington D.C. a couple of yrs ago? They were black. And yes, I'm sure other cultures have serial killers, though it would be interesting to know some statistics.

There are serial killers other than whites also. This abnormality is found in many parts of the world irrespective of its inhabitant being white black or brown. It may be that more such crimes are committed by white.

Serial killers don't have color. There's good and the bad in all races. And by the way, blacks don't commit more murders, they commit more robberies statistically.

Wow, good question. I never thought of it that way, but I think you are correct, that all serial killers are white. I know that one of the most prolific serial killers of all time actually was a Russian, who was also white. I don't know about the far east, but I would think we would hear about it if they had such a problem. Good post, hopefully, there will be a criminologist or psychologist that can give us more information.
