Unfortunately the world is full of double standards.
There are pleny white golddiggers out there .. just look at Anna Nicole Smith.

actually i have never heard that about a black woman but i have heard that concerning white women. and why is it when a woman marries into money she is considered a gold digger but when a man does it nothing is said. I for one am really sick and tired of double standards. have you ever noticed that when somebody doesn't like something about someone else it's usually a trait they have themselves. sorry to ramble

Why should you care what other people think about your personal choices or your reasons for them? That's your business so live your life in the way that suits you best and have a great time doing it.

It depends on the situation and how good your friends are (if they'll stick up for you or not)... but there's also still alot of discrimination in the world... don't worry what other people think (as long as you know you're right and they're wrong about what they're thinking!)
People have stereotypes that they think applies to everyone... well, there's always exceptions to the rules...
