Marius Weyers is the most acclaimed actor to emanate from South Africa and has performed in more than a hundred theatre productions gathering eleven "Best Actor Awards". He is loved by all South Africans. His most notable international feature credits include Richard Attenborough's GHANDI, FAREWELL TO THE KING (directed by John Milius and starring Nick Nolte), BHOPA (directed by Morgan Freeman and starring Danny Glover) and John Avildson's THE POWER OF ONE as well as his international feature debut in TIGERS DON'T CRY with Anthony Quinn.
I think Janet Suzman would be the best South African actress of all time. She has won numerous awards and starred in lots of good productions. Her first film role was in 1971, in NICHOLAS AND ALEXANDRA, and she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress, the BAFTA and the Golden Globe for her portrayal of the Empress Alexandra.

Firstly, I want to say thanks to Chucky for recognising that I'm one of the greatest SA actors...lol
I think an actor that is gonna become huge very soon is Frank Rautenbach. He has unbelievable talent and I reckon is the best of the current bunch of actors. He use to play the character "Tiaan" in 7de Laan but left to pursue a movie career, which I think was a good choice.
Watch out for the film Free of Potatoes that he stars in, produced by Frans Cronje. He is also gonna star in the Hansie Cronje movie (which I think will push SA box office records once it gets released)

Charlize is not a South African anymore!! She irritates the living daylight out of me!!! She cant even speak afrikaans anymore, for someone from benoni that's pretty odd!
She dont even have a SA passport!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have a lot of great actors! I dont wanna mention anyone in particular but look at all the soap actors, isidingo, egoli, 7de laan backstage, orion, song vir katryn etc.

where to start, man we have a bunch of brilliant guys and gals here, My two fav must be Chris Cameleon - He used to play in a TV show with Anna mart van de merwe i think it was "sonkring" where he played a mentally disabled guy and he was brilliant in 7 de laan and then Michelle Botes - Cherel de Villiers Haines from isidingo.
