No, that is a first actually. You should have a go at it. You might start a trend, you might be a fairly good writer.
Not be rude but your statement sort of invites homo phobics to trash you. I think it make some people defensive. Sorry, maybe one day people will respect each other.

Do a search with the words "fanzine gay" or "fanzine gay fiction." You should get something. Try google, I find a more diverse list of options then when I only do a yahoo search.
Or are you looking for novels that have historic based characters? There's a few writers who have written about the greeks and one writer, who I can't think of her name...Mary something, has written several excellent books about Alexander the Great and includes his male lover.
If I can find the name, I'll amend to include it.
Kuve has the name.

How about Alexander the Great? He preferred young men. He had a wife for political reasons. Years ago I read a book called "The Persian Boy" who was the young man who travelled with Alexander and was his lover. I doublt there is a more famous homosexual than he.
Also, Sappho has some very pretty poetry dedicated to her lady lovers

There's fanfiction for just about everything nowadays, but I couldn't tell you one for historically based characters. Try searching on Google or Yahoo! Usually I just look for television fanfic, but I wish I could help you more!!!
Happy searching!!!
