I am looking to purchase relatively large slabs of black obsidian. I need these for a project, to experiment with the Stone Age methods of knapping. My idea is to see if it is possible to produce a long blade-like implement from obsidian, and to see if such an implement would be as effective as a contemporary steel machete in crop harvesting.

This will allow me to infer a bit about ancient agricultural techniques, most specifically those for clearing land.

How big a piece you looking for? They run really expensive the thicker and larger they are. So. type into your search engine "SLAB Obsidian" . Try wholesale slab obsidian also.
