As for Christmas there is Christmas in July and that is to get you started. Many people make their Christmas gifts and it takes a while to do this so they must get started early also if you spend a little money at a time then you will not be affected by the outlay of money as drastically. Usually after July there are no more Christmas sales until after Halloween. It use to be after Thanksgiving but now has gotten earlier. The more important the holiday the earlier we plan for it because of the fact that it is more important. ▬

Realistically - money. The sooner you start, so we think, the better selection we have, which of course is not necessarily true. There are things you will hunt for that sell out before the holidays so it's good to plan early plus it's better on your pocketbook to spread things out in your budget.

That's what they call long-range planning, dear. If you don't know where you're going, you probably won't get there.
