and identify themselves as liberals, or Bush haters, are by and large ignorant? And what I mean is, all argumentation is based on emotion. Opnions garned from the news and friends are expressed as facts, feeling is more important than reality...what happended to the old conservative democratic party that, while progressive on many issues, still knew some things came down to right and wrong, and defending the country against enimies both foreign and domestic?

Politics is a hot topic these days my friend. Some people understand the issues, some people just believe what they are told and don't care to investigate. Your politics define you in such a way that it pays to pay attention and know your facts. Making ignorant fools think about their conclusions helps them get with the program. I think I'd rather be the one argueing political talking points then the type that swallow them religiously or let them be force fed into my mental diet. Knowing your own politics is the key, once you figure them out--the world of yahoo answers is yours!!!

Right now is one of the "important" times for people with knowledge about these problems to express themselves without feeling pressure from the opposing sides.
