Advice:
Study, study, study. This isn't a hobby but a life-long practice that takes a lot of study, practice, discipline, and perseverance. Make sure that what you are studying is from good, solid, reliable sources. Patience and hard work will be rewarding.

If you are wanting to learn more about Wicca and witchcraft, it is more than just potions and brews. It is a way of life and those things are just a drop in the cauldron, so to speak.
If you are wanting to do something to get back at someone or to impress your friends at the next Halloween party, then it is most certainly not for you. I advise you to do loads and loads of looking up on the internet to determine your next move.

would also look into making sure you are conversant in the area in which you try to use. Most needed materials available at a health food store or herbal shop, but do have several areas on line for specialty items.

Read and get Scott Cunningham's complete guide to brews, oils and incense. Mine's worn out from over these years. It is very basic, he explains concisely and very informative.

Start off by researching candle spells on the internet. They are the easiest. Different color candles help with different needs, for instance red=love, green=wealth. You can carve names into the candle as well. Draw a circle around it three times, and never blow it out. Candle spells worked for me, which led to me finding out more about the Wiccan religion.

You need to know what the herbs and oils you are going to be using will do first--might want to wait on those until you have a little more experience

If you're talking about Wicca or another pagan religion, one does not simply "do" spells and etc. Check out books by Cunningham or Wicca on the internet
