The best horror movies I've seen are either Korean or Japanese. Asian horror movies has a lot to do with scary looking ghosts and involves little or no blood where as American horror movies, is only about blood, gore and cutting and stabbing people, which is just gross, not scary. Movies like Scream, Halloween, Friday the 13, Nightmare on Elm Street, weren't scary at all. I think the Grudge and the Ring were scarier. Anyone agree?

I would name some good Korean and Japanese horror movies that weren't released in the U.S., but I can't translate them to English.

I'd have to agree with you. The best scary movie I've seen in a long time was The Grudge, an American remake of a Japanese horror film. And something tells me the original would have been scarier. I'm not expecting much from the sequel.

I think poltergeist was scary, Part one and two. The exorcism of Emily Rose and Jeepers creepers part one. I thought the Grudge was weird and sad. The Ring was pretty scary.
You should watch Ringu one and two. They are Japanese versions simular to the Ring and the Grudge.

I hear ya. I look at the Asian movies when I want a really scary movie. American ones suck. They're too focused on getting the attention of the audience instead of scarin' the crap out of them. It's bogus!
