Not if my child just fell. Accidents happen and I don't think we should be sue happy. Now if there was faulty playground equipment that the school knew about that would be different. If everyone sued every time a kid got hurt on the playground they may have to stop having them and recess. What fun would that be? Also our kids need recess --- they need to have the opportunity for fresh air and to be active. Think about was it accident? will your child heal? Whats moral and really fair if you are being honest with yourself.

No, children get hurt. Besides it's not the jungle gym's fault. Can't sue the soccer field, or the see saw either.... As a parent it is you responsibility to make sure that your child stays safe-good luck

I don't have kids, but I would still say no.

If my kid fell off the jungle gym it was probably his own fault for screwing around. Kids are going to fall, get hurt, break arms or legs or whatever. That's just a natural part of growing up.

The ONLY way I would sue is if the jungle gym was defective and it fell apart, causing my kid to fall off of it, or something like that.

Of course not! By the way, if you have kids in school, you have already agreed to mediation or the inability to sue them. If they are in private school, you have signed a waiver. Kids fall, accidents happen. It's part of life. People these days are "sue" happy. It's a shame. No one can trust anyone. A sympton of the times we live in. Be wise.

Well it depends on how serious the injury was. I mean if it's a life changing injury I would probably sue but if it's not too serious I probably wouldn't. I would make them pay all medical bills though most schools should carry some type of insurance for this.

No unless the school had broken equipment or other obvious negligence.

Anyone who would sue a school for less is a dumb*** who doesn't deserve to win. Do you really want to pay higher taxes because some kid is a clutz?

No. If lawsuits like that start popping up, then there will be no recess for the kids anymore. Has everyone forgotten the saying "accidents happen"? Why would it be the schools fault?Lawsuits like that come down to one thing...GREED.
