it seems like a journey to eternity, i can see no end to my misery, being away from my love is killing me, feels like my heart is being pierced by a thousand arrows, been struggling to cope but not succeeding, it keeps getting harder and harder day by day.. feels like every moment is a step closer to heartbreak and one step away from the dream.. am lost.. don't know where to go, how to proceed.. knowing we can't be together, am just dying inside.. my soul in agony

There was a time in my life, the person I was with and I lived in different cities. It was about 7 hours away on a first train. Because we didn't have enough money and time, we only saw each other once a month. It was so difficult. Eventually, I moved to a foreign country, and after we said 'see you soon' to each other, we never saw each other again.
I have no idea how I coped those days when we were still together, but physically apart. We called, we sent email, and letters, but I was so lonesome.
I think I was just enduring days to go by, and hoping that we would be together again.
I am with someone else now and happy.

It's hard at first, but eventually you will get use to it. It's a painful, gradual process. I just would hang out with friends, go riding around, listen to music, play games, or do anything to try to keep my mind off them. It's hard b/c you miss them being there but once you find peace in being with yourself *don't think of it as alone* it can be really relaxing and therapeutic. And it would be good for you both because of course, absence makes the heart grow fonder. Good Luck!

well this is a goooooood question! well I wasn't able to cope with myself and my love during the last month this was all due to my infatuation for my teacher. I wasn't able to dispell myself from him because he cares about me so much and the support but after a month later I feel more down to earth and more settled after all it was a crush and knowing that he cares and he is there no big deal we have been in touch.

Man that brings me back.
I was away from one love for six months. It failed, because she eventually made it clear to me that she was never coming back.
Another one was for one month. (We're married now)

I stayed active, as active as possible. I wrote down anything that came into my head. I had to throw away that notebook because the things I wrote were quite embarrasing, but it was a great way to keep my heart and head sane.

the longest i was away from my love was 2 years. he was forced to move to London and i live in the US. it sucked and it was really hard to do the long distance thing. its so painful. when i finally saw him again i almost wanted to make love to him in the air port but i contained my self till i got home. i talked to him on the phone allot and sent him pictures of life back home and it made him feel like he was there too. we finally married and hes back in the US

8 month
I will keep my self busy, so i can little bit run from that feelings.
Me and my boyfriend have long distance relationship, he joined with some cruise ship in USA and he only have 2 month vacation, so i only have 2 month in a year near him.
i can't imagine if i can't overcome that feeling

About 1 week. It was hard. Any longer I would have needed an escort.
