you can find out what sound card you have by going to Start -> Settings-> Control Panel-> Performance and Maintenace-> System-> Hardware (Tab)-> Device Manager->Sound, Video, and Game Controllers. Find the manufacturer of your sound card or integrated sound and download/install the newest supported drivers for that component. Just as some advice, you may want to update your video drivers too. You can do the same process but find your vid card/integrated graphics under Display adapters. The name of your card should be their. Usually it's nVidia, Intel or ATI, sometimes VIA graphics. Go to that site and download that cards compatible driver. This may fix a possible display problem you may have sooner or later too.

install the audio driver,u can find that in ur motherboard cd....go0d luck...
