i mean what are the qualifications, path, and where does one start?
( i am just out of highschool and do not even now if their are colleges for such things or what you study in college to help or if you even do go to an ordinary college a all :/ )

Go to a flight school. Call your local city airport to see if they offer classes. Check out the websites of and call any major air lines and ask them for their requirements. They may even offer training. Also through military branches like the Navy or Airforce you can get training.

As it requires not only lots of book study but also many flight hours ( which cost a lot of $$ ) some people do it in the military, but you must be a college graduate & be an officer to get into flight school. Look in the yellow pages under flight schools or go to your local airport, where a number of fllight schools are located. I also believe that Utah State Un has flight / instrument classes on the newer systems. good luck
