I get that nagging feeling, too. And it's something that prominent rappers and entertainers struggle with all the time. The conflict between the facts that a lot of black entertainers want to make music for black people, or expressing black frustrations, desires, etc, -- and the fact that the majority of their audience are white. Are rappers just the new blackface? This is one of the main reasons Dave Chappelle quit his hit Comedy Central show. You can see him and others discussing this issue in his concert movie, Dave Chappelle's Block Party (fantastic, btw).
