The distance.

And distance can come in many forms. Sometimes lovers are far apart from one another and have to cope with time spent away when they want nothing more than the security of each other's arms, hearts, words and presence. It can almost be dibilitating when they aren't around and yet they have a part of you and you have a part of them.

Sometimes issues come between them. The emotional distance at that point can be staggering. You want to talk ..... you want to get all things out in the open and yet you don't. You aren't sure what to say. You aren't sure if he is ready. He's thinking the same. So rather than healing, you put this distance between you that only serves to harm you.

The hardest thing about love is overcoming these distances. Being open enough to confront the problem and understanding enough to listen to how it affects the other. But it's love! And love can overcome all obstacles if it is true love.

So even this too shall pass. :)

I think the hardest thing about love is the desire for oneness. I want the one I love to see and understand through the eyes of my heart. I want my love to see right into my soul and value what is there - not necessarily agree with everything or be the same as me - I just want to know that they "get it" - they see the real me and love that person. And I want someone that I can love in this very same way.

The fear of betrayal. First loves are so magical because we've never been hurt in love before. After a betrayal, it's harder the text time. If you're not careful you end up hiding away being the weird old cat lady that lives down the street.

I think the hardest thing about love is that few of us can control it. It is conceived within us, we nurture it, but it seems to sometimes blossom and grow to the point that we cannot control our love, but it controls us.

Getting along when you're angry and about to explode.

It's important to never treat your partner like they're just another person. It demeans them and you and your relationship.

It's hard to maintain respect and devotion when it's most important...

But i mean, if you can respect your partner at all times, even when you're about to explode into a million photons, you've got a strong relationship.
