As you can see from reading the actual law here:
http://www.law.georgetown.edu/faculty/nkk/documents/MilitaryCommissions.pdf#search='military%20commissions%20act'
The suspension of Habeus Corpus does NOT apply to American Citizens.

Luke F: How convenient to leave off the word "alien". Alien Enemy Combatant. If you are a US Citizen you are not an "alien".

notme: Interesting article. Read it carefully. The liberal rulings are in contradiction, not the majority rulings. Those are the ones that stick

The entire democrat play book is built on fear. Do you remember the days when they said Republicans were trying to kill our grandparents and our children? What about this is the worst economy in 50 years? It goes on but I am getting sick so I'll stop. Vote Republican in November!!!

First of all this has nothing to do with being a democrat or republican, it does have alot to do with the truth. If you read the Military Commisions Act is clealy refers to any unlawful combatant. Your argument can easily be disproven by taking 5 minutes and reading. Why in the world do you want to deny this?

No. As biggoted and demagoging as the Democrats are (remember the Robert Bork nomination?), these socialists are right when they scream about Republican "fascism" and the dictatorial dangers of the Civil Rightless Act of 2006.

Habeas Corpus, R.I.P. (1215 - 2006)
With a smug stroke of his pen, President Bush is set to wipe out a safeguard against illegal imprisonment that has endured as a cornerstone of legal justice since the Magna Carta.
President Bush is fighting the same terrorist his father fought, Clinton and Regan fought.
Why does it cost more lives, more money and more of our freedoms to get the job done?!

They are using it as a retaliation to the Faithful Elephants calling them socialists. Are they? National Healthcare, even out incomes from the rich to the poor, you decide America.
