Following ones passions need not be dangerous?????????
I have a few passions, and certainly have enough sense to consider risk moderately.
I've never been attack by my supplies while painting a picture, nor have I been in any danger when writing.
Better is relative. Might I have been injured or killed by some abstract situation while painting? It's possible. How I define better might not be how YOU define it.

I was wondering why this question did not come up earlier... !
Maybe many like me could have missed noticing if asked earlier , in some other way too... but this question seems to be the best way to put it through... especially the 'safe life' !(covers all !)
..
Well, driven by the sense of security, the foremost of human urges, the modern human has to lean more towards a safe life, seeking some routine that yields some sustenance, comfort, being in 'the centre of herd' feeling, social recognition etc... For a few fortunate ones the commercially viable routine also happens to coincide with their own passion.
I was not that fortunate. Yet, I chose to keep the sustenance to the barest minimum needs, and chose such a safe routine, leaving more time, mental space , etc for my own passion, and when I felt that even this safe routine is no longer needed for the rest of my life, I just dropped it abruptly, to the utter surprise of all around (because, I was doing exceptionally well even at that.... obviously.... since I had chosen a lower rung of the ladder than that I was cut-out for ! )... and now , just happily grazing the peaks as well as deep valleys of life !

I don't think I have a passion. Therefore, I guess it follows that I'm living a safe life. That's kind of sad, really. But nothing has truly captured my mind yet.
I realize this makes me a hypocrite, but I'd like to believe that it's better to follow your passion, because life is just too short. Maybe I'll find something I'm really passionate one day. I think I have plenty of time.

I have chosen my lifes path because it is my deepest Passion and it has been "safe " at times and other times you could not begin to imagine.
So I cannot say which is better for someone else but for me its been Passion all the way!!

i actually am following my passion although it's better to have a safer life but when you have passion you can succeed in everything that you do ... although there will be a lot of trials/obstacles in life that will come to you if you follow your passion but it's okay because in the end your passion, determination and hard work would lead you to something very great!!! i hope this gave you an idea

75% safe...married w/children, however being a Sagittarius male, my passion for exploration and discovery is my motivation for life.
Which is the better life? A mixture of both works for me. My responsibility to my family keeps my passion(s) under control.

i believe that fallowing your passion is better. because a safe life isnt necessarely a happy one. i would rather be happy and doing what i want to do, then to just be doing things because they're safe. no one should live life the safe way. fallow your dreams....or youll be sorry that you never did.
