Unless you have 20 years of work experience and applying for executive level position, stick to one page resume.

As I always say to candidates I work with, try to put yourself in the hiring manager's shoes. If a resume doesn't grab the reader's attention within 2-3 seconds, it is toasted. And believe me, these law firm types really don't want to spare their 2-3 seconds.

Best wishes.

I would highly recommend you cut off to one page. Some employers get lazy to read it if there are too much writings in the resume. I use to have 2 pages of resume but when I was advised by a HR personnel to reduce and remove the not useful info, I did that and I saw a big difference with employers.

Please listen to the resume expert. I do this for a living. I also run a consortium of headhunting operations.

No No...for 2 page resumes!

Your resume is supposed to tell people what you exactly did in your past work experiences. Can you imagine someone who worked in a company for 10 years and all he does is covered in two or three lines.

You need to be as detail as possible. 4-7 pages are ok. A resume is a life and death issue. Have a bad resume and you're destined for mediocrity. Your choice. Your life.

You seem to indicate your resume has 2 pages of what? Crap to me means either embellishment or a running diary of your day to day activities from a previous job.
Cut to the chase and provide them insight into you capabilities. Describe your talents in terms of accomplishment.
Tell them how you "leaped over tall building in a single bound, thus reducing the time it takes to access the dossiers and thereby increasing productivity by 25% and billable hours by a factor of 2"

There is nothing inherently wrong with 2 pages, as long as it substantive and you have along career to back it up (it doesn't sound like you have that).

Most employers only want to see the cover page with the resume... cut back to one page, and only put your most recent employment, and cut back on some previous skills that aren't needed for that job...

You need to have 1 page for your resume, just indicate your fast and current job, educational background. No need to elaborate or describe your job functions, let the interviewer ask your job functions . Remove unnecessary information not related to the job that you are applying for as well us your personal information.

You should try making it just one page. Only include the most important details about your past jobs, contact info, and educational experience.

How can we tell if it's crap without seeing it?
It sounds like you're not too crazy about it yourself.
