I want to avoid too much use of adjectives - I am looking for precise but interesting statements...

drop the "somewhat" & "well" use a synonym of well... vividly, distinctly, clearly, etc.

i would go about this sentance much more directly, saying "the one event (in life?--what?) I am wanting to remember clearly.... " and connect it with what that event is...

good luck. just try re-arranging the sentance & using a thesaurus.

"somewhat" & "well" are very vague words. youre trying to make it less bland, but you don't want to use many adjectives? hummm....

There is one event I'll always remember--though some of the details are hazy.
