When you are physically and mentally ready. I had a stillborn son and 16 months later his sister was born.

sorry for your loss.......GOOD LUCK!!

Yes, getting your period meant you were not pregnant. How long it takes you to get pregnant again depends on how quickly your hormonal cycle takes to return to prepregnancy state. The best person to help you with this would be your doctor, who can also advise you about your general state of health. A pregnancy, even one that ends in stillbirth, still places a certain demand on your body the same as any other pregnancy. Doctors seldom recommend back to back pregnancies within a few months of one another, just to give your body a chance to recover physically. We also suffered a stillbirth, and the doctor recommended we wait at least six months before trying again. It gives your body a chance to recover and build up the strenth needed to carry another child. I understand your need to have a child, but you want to give the child the best chances for a healthy life, and sometimes that means a bit of a wait while you get yourself ready to do that. Also, you did not mention if they had determined why you lost the other baby. You want to make sure that reason will not affect the next baby, so you really do need to speak with your doctor before you get pregnant again. Losing one baby doesn't mean there won't be others. We went on to have three more children after we lost ours- all healthy and happy. You will have others as well, just be sure first you are in a position to give them a good start.

You are very brave, I would be waiting a little longer, you body needs time to heal, enotionally and physically, I dont mean to be rude or insencitive, but I hope you are not trying to replace your lost child, if so get some councelling, as it may not be healthy for you to have another child that you will now worship abnormally because you are still in mourning. Like I said I dont mean to be Harsh, but only have another baby for the right reasons, and when you are ready, because it is a very emotional time.

You really need to allow your body to heal sweetie.
Did you go full term with your pregnancy.. if you had, please, wait at least a year or two.. your body needs to heal from any birth, for that period. true, you can become pregnant at anytime after birth, but that doesn't mean your body won't suffer..
Have you allowed your emotional side to grieve, to heal.. I'd wait until that happens before you even think about having another pregnancy..
Sorry for your loss..

Its not safe to get pregnant right away after giving birth or having any kind of miscarraige. your body needs time to return to "normal". There can be all kinds of complications for you and any baby you might concieve by getting pregnant again too soon. TALK TO YOU DOCTOR!

Sorry to hear that. You need to check with your Dr for a time frame but you need to let your body rest.
