Look around MLB. The shortest guys on the field are usually shortstops....especially if they are right handed because of the natural progression and moves towards first base after catching the ball.

You'll see some short second basemen as well though most of the short ones are lefties. There are some short catchers but the short ones are usually heavy set to offset the balance of being short.

BUT do not let your height keep you from going out for any position. Afterall you are only 13...you've got anywhere from 5 to 8 years left of growing to do....you could end up being a huge 1st baseman. Who knows?

Just work hard and you'll succeed at whatever you want to do. Don't let anything get in your way. The most determined people make it regardless of size.

Depends on physical tools. How is speed? Quickness? Arm strength? Hitting ability may also make a difference. For example, good defensive catchers may not be expected to hit as well as other positions.
