I remeber when I was a kid in the 80's there was a controversy surrounding this upcoming star in the south,which led to his imprisonment for several years. Does anyone remember what actually happened. thanks.

Well. It looks like he duped some girl, who was the daughter of big shot, known to the ruling party-boss, and she fell for him. He was booked under the Goondas Act. Thereafter, she shifted to Telugu acting from Tamil cine field. Now, he is making a come back to the Tamil film industry, in the much awaited film of Rajni-Sivaji.
